Alaska LLCs Must File a Biennial Report

All LLCs in Alaska must file a Biennial Report every two years.

The purpose of the Biennial Report is to ensure that your LLC’s contact information stays updated with the state.

Method of Filing

You can file your Biennial Report by mail, but the state recommends filing it online.

$100 (due biennially)

Due Date

Your Biennial Report is due every two years, beginning from the date you filed your Alaska LLC Initial Report.

The report must be filed by January 2nd of every even-numbered year.

Penalty

The state provides a one-month grace period. If you do not file your Biennial Report by February 1, a late fee of $37.50 will be assessed. Continued failure to file may result in the state eventually shutting down your LLC.

You must have your LLC's Entity Number before you start.

Check your mailing and physical addresses and make any necessary changes.

Note:

You cannot update your Registered Agent through the Biennial Report. To change your Registered Agent, you must file a Statement of Change and pay the $25 filing fee.

Add or remove any LLC members if there have been changes.
