Steps for Completing Your Indiana LLC Business Entity Report
All Indiana LLCs conducting business in the state are required to file a Business Entity Report every two years.
Filing this report is essential to ensure your LLC remains compliant and in good standing with Indiana.
You can submit your LLC's Business Entity Report either by mail or online. We suggest filing online for a quicker and more cost-effective process.
Below are the instructions for filing by mail and online.

- $31 for online submissions
Due Date
Your Indiana LLC Business Entity Report is due every two years, by the last day of the month the state approved your LLC. This month is considered your LLC’s anniversary month.
If you're unsure of your LLC's approval month, you can find this information by searching for your LLC in the InBiz Business Search under "Creation Date," or by calling the Secretary of State at 317-232-6576 (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM).
The Indiana LLC Business Entity Report isn’t due immediately after your LLC is established. The first report is due two years following the formation of the LLC.

How early can you file?
You can file up to one month before the due date.
Penalty
A short grace period is allowed for late filings, but persistent non-compliance may lead to the state administratively dissolving your LLC.
Reminders
Depending on your method of filing the Articles of Organization, you will receive a reminder by mail or email about 30 days before the due date.
Even if you don't get a reminder, it is still up to you to file your Business Entity Report every two years. To make sure you don't forget, it is a good idea to set a recurring reminder on your calendar.
Instructions for Filing Indiana Business Entity Report by Mail
Download the Indiana Business Entity Report Form from the Indiana Secretary of State's website:
- Visit the Business Forms section.
- Select "Business Entity Reports" from the dropdown menu.
- The PDF form will then download to your computer.
Section A
In the first box, provide your LLC name and principal office address. If you need to update your LLC address, enter the new information in the box to the right.
✎ Note:
You cannot use this report to change your LLC's name.
Section B
In the "Current filing year" box, enter the current year. If you are also filing for previous years, list those years in the box to the right.
Section C
Enter the date your LLC was formed with the state. If you're unsure of this date, you can look it up using the Indiana Secretary of State's Business Search under "Creation Date," or call the Secretary of State at 317-232-6576 (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM).
In the second box to the right, indicate the state where your LLC was formed, which will most likely be "Indiana."
Section D
Select "Limited Liability Company."
Section E
In the box to the left, provide the name and address of your current Registered Agent. If you need to update or change your Registered Agent information, enter the new details in the box to the right.
Sections F and G
You can leave these sections blank, as they are only applicable to Corporations, not LLCs.
Section H
If you updated your Registered Agent information, check the box indicating that they agree to be your Registered Agent. If you did not make any changes to your Registered Agent, leave this box unchecked.
Then, sign your name and enter today's date.
Payment and Mailing Instructions:
Prepare a check or money order for $50, made payable to "Secretary of State."
Mail your $50 payment along with the completed Business Entity Report to:

Processing Time and Verification:
The state will process your Business Entity Report within 2-3 business days of receiving it by mail. They do not send confirmation, but you can check the status by searching for your LLC on the Indiana Secretary of State's Business Search and clicking "Filing History" to view your report.

Instructions for Filing Indiana Business Entity Report Online
Get Started:
- Go to INBiz and click the "Sign In" button.
- If you don't have an INBiz account, refer to our Indiana LLC Articles of Organization guide for instructions on creating an Access Indiana login and setting up an INBiz account.
- Once you're logged into your INBiz dashboard, hover over "ONLINE SERVICES" at the top, and then click on "Business Entity Report."
Search your LLC
Enter your LLC's business name or business ID, then click "Search." From the search results, select your LLC and click "Next."
Email Address
Verify that the current email address is correct. If it's not, enter your new email address twice. It can be a personal email if you prefer, rather than a company email.
Principal Office Address
Check that your LLC's principal office address is accurate. Make any necessary changes, then click "Next."
Registered Agent
Verify that your LLC's Registered Agent information is correct. If it is, click "Next" to continue.
If you need to update your Registered Agent details, check the "Change Registered Agent Address" box and make the necessary changes. After saving, click "Next" to proceed.
Principal Information
If you want to include your members or managers in your LLC's official records (which will also be publicly accessible), you can list their names and addresses here. This section is optional, so you can leave it blank if you choose.
Select either Member or Manager in the Principal Title field. Enter the person's name and address, and then click the Add Principal button.
Add additional members or managers if needed. When you're finished, click "Next" to proceed.
Review
Review your information for accuracy and check for any typos. If you need to make changes, use the "Edit" buttons. If everything is correct, click "Next" at the bottom to continue.
Signature
Check the box to agree to the terms and enter your full name in the Signature field. From the Title dropdown menu, select Member (or Manager if applicable).
Next, click the "Add to Payment Cart" button. On the following page, click "Checkout" to complete the process.
Checkout
Enter your billing and contact information, then click "Continue." On the next page, review your details and submit your payment.
Congratulations! Your Indiana LLC Business Entity Report has been filed for processing. Just wait for verification to complete the process.

The state will process your Business Entity Report in roughly 1 hour. You will receive an email confirmation once the report has been approved.
